Frequently Asked Questions

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Yes. All sessions are 100% confidential in accordance with BCACC ethical guidelines and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Your information is never shared without your written consent, except where legally required (e.g., imminent risk of harm).

Do you offer online therapy?

Absolutely. We offer secure video sessions via Zoom for clients across British Columbia and throughout Canada. The quality of care is the same as in-person sessions.

What are your fees?

Fees vary by service type and session length. Please contact us for detailed pricing. Many extended health insurance plans, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and ICBC claims cover our Registered Clinical Counsellor services. Sliding-scale options are available.

Do you accept MSP (BC Medical Services Plan)?

Private counselling is not covered by MSP. However, most workplace benefit plans, EAP programs, ICBC, and First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) may provide full or partial coverage. We can help you verify your coverage.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy is a personal journey. Some clients feel improvement in 6–8 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We focus on sustainable progress at your pace — no rushed timelines.

What can I expect at my first session?

Your first session is an intake assessment where we discuss your history, current concerns, and goals. It's a relaxed, conversational session — you set the pace, and we listen.
